Butter for each table.

Bread basket. All breads are
hot and home-made. We like such kinds of raw bread more (such raw bread
is healthier and more nutritive than the soft one, fyi.).

Mango juice (not fresh) and house white wine

'Chicken Salad with Mayonnaise Dressing' is nicely presented and is a tasty appetizer.

Raclette is still very hot. The sliced mushroom is served in the middle.

'Braised
Lamb Shank w/ Potato Mash'. We do not expect a shank is served. If so,
this is surely in a generous portion. It is enough for any carnivores.
There is a slight special smell of lamb. Potato mash is palalable.

'Deep-fried
Fish Fillet w/ Creamed Carrots' should be eaten with the cream sauce
(diced tomato and chesse sauce). The batter is very thin and has not yet
been over-fried. Fillet quality can be better.

'Mixed Berries w/
Vanilla Ice-cream' is a must to order, if it is available in the menu.
The ice-cream is very slippery as milk content should be quite high.
Berries are nutritive too.

Fresh Fruit Salad. There are more than 10 fruits in this small ceramic white plate.

Complimentary confectionary is of Swiss origin and flavor. We are impressed. FYI, the chocolate bars are available in Citysuper.

There is a wide selection of wines.

Swiss decorations are commonly found in every corner in the Swiss Chalet.

Remarks:
The Swiss Chalet is not a branch of the food chain
http://www.swisschalet.ca/ in Canada . The one in Canada is called
‘Swiss Chalet Rotisserie & Grill’.
The Swiss Chalet (SC) is
quite different from other restaurants in Hong Kong , at least in its
Swiss outlook and interior decoration. SC is a restaurant with interior
decoration that it is a restaurant serving Swiss cuisine. Waitresses are
all nice and attentive, we are pleased to be served by them.
We
have not thought of the price in lunchtime, we only believe its food
quality should not be bad in lunchtime as well. We order two whole lunch
sets (out of totally five options), including soup or appetizer, main
course, dessert and tea. We are impressed by the food assortments in a
meal set. It is a bit out of expectation that main courses are not of
such high quality as the appetizers and desserts. The overall rating is
still high, all dishes are cooked with heart and presented in a nice
manner. The whole meal sets are surprisingly good.
