Trotter
in Cold Dish (肴肉) is an exquisit dish in City Chiu Chow. This is served
with high quality. The taste is well-balanced, it is not oily at all.
We are pleased to have ordered this dish today.
Shredded Chicken & Green Cucumber w/ Sesame Sauce is a nice dish with both meat and vegetable.
Pan-fried Chinese Chives Dumplings (韭菜餃)
Each
dumpling is stuffed with large amount of Chinese chives and is
therefore swollen. Chinese chives is a nice food material, it is
particular good for men. One point to draw your attention is that in
some other restaurants, there should be three dumplings only. This means
it is generous in City Chiu Chow.
Steamed Spareribs w/ Pumpkin (蒸排骨). The taste is natural.
Chiu Chow Dumpling (潮州粉果) is nice and freshly steamed. A layer of oil is not found on the surface.
Noodle
in Soup w/ Fish Dumplings & Luffa. Soup taste is not very strong.
Noodle texture is al dente, it is not in our anticipation. This is
appreciated.
Dessert of Taro w/ Ginkgo (竽泥) is soft and not too sweet. It is different from those where large amount of sugar has been added.
Chiu Chow Kung Fu Tea is normally served at the end of a meal. But it is of quality and has a sweet after-taste.
Such lightings are beautiful but they should be a bit old-fashioned.

We
have not dined in City Chiu Chow TST so far. Today it is a coincidence
to have this chance. The restaurant should be quite large in view of the
area in Hong Kong. Maybe, it is still early or it location is not
conveniently located, there are not many people at noon.
In the
beginning, we order dim sums only. But later on, we would like to try
some dishes. At lunchtime, dishes are set at special price. We therefore
would like to try more. We are pleased to have selected City Chiu Chow
today. It has done well in areas like food quality, service, hygiene and
authenticity. In this connection, we would like to try again at night
one day.
