We have tried this 'Steamed Fish' before. Only sliced ginger, shredded green onion and oil are added. Fish is slippery and fresh enough. We can taste the freshness of fish meat. This dish has been ordered in Harbour Seafood Restaurant in Apleichau.
'Pan-fried Egg w/ Bitter Gourd' is quite large in portion. Minimum (sufficient) amount of oil is used. It is a nice pan-fried egg.
Plain Rice Congee is natural and only rice pieces can be found inside this orange bowl.

In a weekday night, there are not many diners on the second floor. It is not crowded and noisy. Diners seem to chat in their own world. It is a typical Dai Pai Dong layout and setting. A young girl in uniform is promoting beer to diners.
Seafood is one of the selling points in this cooked food centre. We order fish, shrimp, pan-fried egg and plain rice congee. Though spending is not particularly reasonable, in view of fresh shrimp and steamed fish, it is still not too expensive. But we have not ordered pork or beef, for fear that the meat is not fresh enough. It is safer to order seafood that we can see by our naked eyes.
Since shrimp and fish are fresh enough, together with the right cooking skill, all dishes are cooked with our satisfaction and they have not yet been overcooked. We can still sense the freshness of shrimp and fish. Plain rice congee is of quality too. Apart from rice and water, we cannot find any other food materials in the bowl.
If you want to experience the local Dai Pai Dong dining, Kau Kee is quite a good choice in Aberdeen. It is relaxing and comfortable dining experience in a weekday night.
