Roast Goose (Half) $130, Roast goose of Yue Kee is still very delicious . Each table would order at least half-piece. The goose is still very hot and the skin is a bit crispy. The goose is prepared in a special sauce for a period before roasting; the goose meat is tender and tasty. But a friend had eaten more delicious roast goose in Guangdong. Anyway, we admire the goose very much.
Deep Fried Mixed Minced Bean Curd, Fish Meat & Eggs with Vegetable $40 is average.
Fried Goose Kidneys with Shrimp Sauce $40 should not be a good attempt.

Roast goose of Yue Kee (established since 1958) is too famous in Hong Kong. We have not tried this signature-roast goose for a long time. It is better to have a try in an early Saturday night. We have made reservation but a table would only be allotted until all diners have arrived. Tonight there are really a lot of diners, including foreigners, Mainlanders and locals.
When we are considering whether to order the dinner set, a waiter (or supervisor) always pushes us to order Mantis Shrimp and said they are very fresh and would be sold out soonest. From our experience, this Mantis shrimp should be about $100 per piece. If we want to eat seafood, there are many better places in our mind.
Finally we have not ordered dinner set for 4 of either $448 or $1,388 (dinner set for 2 persons is priced at $368), but order our preferred dishes, including Roast Goose (Half) $130, Deep Fried Mixed Minced Bean Curd, Fish Meat & Eggs with Vegetable $40, Fried Goose Kidneys with Shrimp Sauce $40, Seafood Vermicelli with Satay Sauce in Casserole $90 and Braised Minced Pork & Dried Scallop with Vegetable $55. The bill is $436 (average per head $110).
Roast goose is undoubtedly the signature dish in Yue Kee . For other dishes, the quality is a bit above average only. When the restaurant is full, it is very noisy and this is the characteristic of local restaurants. Yue Kee should supply the best roast goose in Sham Tseng. It is anyway a good roast goose experience.
