Roasted Pig $70 is served with yellow mustard and spring onion sauces.
The portion is much larger than the standard size in other restaurants. Only the best portion can be found. Each piece of roasted pig is rich in nice and delicious pork flavour, but no surplus salt has been added. The skin is crispy. We prefer yellow mustard sauce more.
Cha Siu with Plain Rice
Cha Siu is served in such generous portion and is like a small Cha Siu hill. Cha Siu is soft enough but no meat tenderizer has been added. This means Cha Siu is from the good portion of a pig, there is no need to add meat tenderizer to soften the meat. We like Cha Siu with small amount of fat, it is much better than the portion with lean only.
Today soup is not particularly delicious, this means there is no unnecessary additive.

If not because of something to do or transiting, we seldom go to Tsuen Wan. In Tsuen Wan, we only want to try Cha Siu and roasted pig in Luen Fat so far. Today, when we know we have to go to Tsuen Wan, we arrange a short visit to Luen Fat. Luen Fat is a typical Hong Kong style restaurant serving BBQ stuffs. Servers are mostly uncles of over fifty or more. But they are quite nice and good-mannered.
At dinnertime, though the restaurant is not full, there are regular patrons for dine-in and take-away. This would enhance our confidence towards its foods to a certain extent. We order the two signature items (roasted pig and Cha Siu), plain rice, today soup and vegetable. Average spending is about sixty.
As expected, all items are of above average quality. If the roasted pig is still warm or very hot, it would be more palatable and delicious, and the overall rating would be higher. For the Cha Siu, it is also delectable, it is at any rate not so delectable as that of Joy Hing in Wan Chai. But in Luen Fat, they have not added any meat tenderizer to Cha Siu, the story is different in Joy Hing. In this connection, we appreciate Luen Fat in their shop operation and treatment of food materials. If you visit Tsuen Wan next time, you should also try the signature BBQ stuffs. It is quite close to the MTR Tsuen Wan station.
