We
are attracted mainly by the retrospective decoration of Snow Mountain
Restaurant. We in fact are not hungry and also do not have much
expectation on its food (sorry). There are not too many diners in the
afternoon. Some younger diners visit Snow Mountain mainly for the
purpose of experiencing the old and antique interior decoration.
Spending twenty dollars or so for an afternoon tea set for about an hour
should be a quite joyous and memorable experience.
It
is hoped that more such old style cha chaan teng can be kept in Hong
Kong. It is a museum for the new generation (including you and me) and
particularly good for those who do not grow with Hong Kong, and those
who spend a considerable number of years overseas and return to Hong
Kong in a couple of years.
