The original name of Exchange Street is Cleverly Street (急庇利街). It is a street near Sheung Wan Tram Terminus on Hong Kong Island. It is about 400 metres in length, from north to south, via Queen's Road Central (皇后大道中), Jervois Street (蘇杭街), Burd Street (畢街), Bonham Strand (文咸東街), Wing Lok Street (永樂街), Des Voeux Road Central (德輔道中) and Connaught Road Central (干諾道中).
But the secton of Clevery Street mentioned in the record is between Des Voeux Central and Connaught Road Centre. There are many currency exchange shops in this section, at least 13 shops. The name of Exchange Street is therefore given to this section in this record.
