Tuen Long 屯朗

Tuen Long (屯朗) in fact is the hiking of route from Tuen Mun to Yuen Long, via Maclehose Trail (a portion of Stage 10). From Wah Fat Playground in Tuen Mun to Tai Tong in Yuen Long, it takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. It should be a trail with difficult of about 2 stars. Along the trail, we can overlook Tuen Mun Highway and beaches of Castle Peak Bay. The scenery is not so beautiful as that in Sai Kung. But if you are lucky, you will be able to meet a large flock of goats, led by an Indonesian lady. At Tai Tong, there are also large pieces of land where vegetables are grown. The Finish is Kiu Hing Road of Tai Tong, where minibus and public bus to Yuen Long Town and Long Ping MTR Station are available respectively.

The Start is Wah Fat Playground, it is of course at Wah Fat Street in Tuen Mun. It is next to Harvest Garden and Kam Fai Garden.

This hiking route is not difficult.

Suddenly, we meet a large group of goats on the way, led by an Indonesian lady.

They are gentle and nice.

Basically, the trail is nearly horizontal, with about the highest point at 150m.

Tai Tong is in the middle of the photo, whereas Yuen Long Town with highrise buildings at the top.

This is a privately owned construction, it is hoped it will be opened to public. Btw, it is kept in very good conditon.

The terminal at Kiu Hing Road is for bus and minibus to Long Ping MTR Station and Yuen Long Town.
