Kam Yuk Cha Cha Teng is a typical local eatery on Yee On Street in Kwun Tong.

Because of its bench seating on both sides of the eatery, I am interested to have a look and spend some time.

Different from other local eateries, the interior of Kam Yuk is still kept and maintained in good condition. All tables and benches have not been damaged in the course of time. This must be the result of regular check-up and repair. During the period of my visit, a server is cleaning the table with detergent-like solvent.

From the menu cards on the table, Kam Yuk is still eager to serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks for the whole day. Its pricing is not too cheap, this does not mean that it is expensive. The pricing to a certain extent implies that Kam Yuk is still confident in its food.

But an old smell can still be sensed inside the eatery, this cannot be hid if there is. It is the smell from old furniture and kitchen. I am so sorry to mention that one disgusting food cockroach is found on the wall. For eatery with an old smell or dirty image to me (Kam Yuk is not dirty), I would have no motive to order food. But to be a museum of old-fashioned cha chaan teng, you are highly recommended to visit. I quite like this old-fashioned cha chaan teng.
