Jordan Road 佐敦道

Jordan Road (佐敦道) is a main road in Yaumatei, Kowloon. It is perpendicular to Nathan Road.

This is one of the four buildings (National Court 立信大廈, 16A-16F Jordan Road) at the junction of Nathan Road and Jordan Road.

This is one of the buildings (New Lucky House 華豐大廈, 13-15 Jordan Road) at the junction of Nathan Road and Jordan Road.

This is one of the buildings (Champion Building 嘉賓商業大廈, 17 Jordan Road) at the junction of Nathan Road and Jordan Road.

20-24 Jordan Road, Lucky House 鴻運大樓.

Before the extension, it was between Ferry Street (渡船街) and Gascoigne Road (加士居道). After the reclamation in the West Kowloon, Jordan Road is extended to Hoi Po Road (海寶路) on the west. Jordan Road was originally called Street Number 6. In 1909, it was renamed as Jordan Road to commemorate a doctor (Dr. G.P. Jordan) who helped combat plague in Hong Kong in early 20th century.

McDonald's is on the basement of Pak Shing Building (37-31 Jordan Road, 百誠大廈).

At the junction with Temple Street.

Jordan Road is now a busy road for the whole day. The big and pink building is Block A of United Building (37A-37E Jordan Road, 統一大樓A座) at the junction of Shanghai Street and Jordan Road.

28-28A Jordan Road, The Tun Shing Mansion (敦成大廈).

Buildings on Jordan Road are mainly those with less than twenty storeys. Most of them should have a history of about 60 years. In fact, each building has its own character and special outlook. Even though they were built more than fifty years before, they are also designed by architect and all look differently.

39-39A Jordan Road, Kent Building (根德大廈).

If the buildings in Jordan are redeveloped, they would be a part of the new skyline in Kowloon. Let’s see when urban redevelopment will come to Jordan Road.
