Canton Road is a long road in Kowloon, from Tsim Sha Tsui
to Prince Edward (太子). The section in Tsim Sha Tsui from Salisbury Road
(梳士巴利道) to The Royal Pacific Hotel (皇家太平洋酒店) becomes a street of world
renowned brands, including Hermes, Chanel, Louis Vitton, Salvatore
Ferragamo and more.

Nearly all famous brands can be found here in Canton Road
and the shopping malls. The brands compete for the best location to set
up their branches, resulting that rentals are driven up to historic
high level.

The buildings include 1881 Heritage Hotel, The Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel, One Peking, Lippo Sun Plaza, Silvercord, and Harbour City. This becomes a very special phenomenon in Hong Kong.

If not because of the Individual Visit Scheme (自由行) of the Mainlanders from 2003 onwards, Canton Road is still only a portion of shopping area in Tsim Sha Tsui. Now, the street is crowded with Putonghua-speaking visitors from the mainland. This becomes a very important income to Hong Kong economy, but it also poses a threat on Hong Kong.Canton Road – Street of well-known brands
