Along Castle Peak Road – Ping Shan Section (青山公路 - 屏山段), there is also the custom of beating the petty person. Betting the petty person is not in Wan Chai only.
In the morning of the day of beating petty person (it is on the sixth day of the second full moon in Chinese calendar), a lot of women gather at the junction of Ma Miu Road (媽廟路) and Castle Peak Road (or, it is adjacent to Hip Yee Primary School 協怡小學). There are two big trees on this piece of land. Several female beaters would help the women to do the beating process.
The number of customers who would like to beat the petty person cannot be compared with that in Wan Chai. In the afternoon, there will be no more customers. Beating the Petty Person
