This is the second year for the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority (西九文化區管理局) to launch this West Kowloon Bamboo Theatre in West Kowloon Cultural District. The scale in 2014 is a bit larger and better planned.
This Chinese bamboo theatre is a very special custom in South China, particularly in Guangdong province. The high light is the Chinese Opera performance in the afternoon and at night. Interested persons should buy tickets in advance. The site is decorated with large flower banners and colorful flags. It is a good place for taking photos and for tourists to know more about the culture and custom of the locality. Apart from the main bamboo theatre, there are stalls selling Chinese crafts on the site.
