69 Bedford Road, an industrial building of six storeys, is located at the junction of Walnut Street (合桃街) and Bedford Road. It has a history of about 50 years. The outlook is quite good and intact, at least it does not give me an impression that it will soon be collapsed. Since it is of five storeys only, it does have a big contrast in height with the buildings nearby. It should have regular renovation in these fifty years. If not, the building will look like a ruin.

It was reported that the building on the fifth floor was divided illegally by wooden board into 46 residential units of forty to fifty square feet, with or without toilet, in 2009. The rental per unit was about two thousand Hong Kong dollars. Since the partitions were illegally constructed, it would be dangerous to the lives of dwellers.
Besides the above matter disclosed in the media, 69 Bedford Road is a nice and cute building in Tai Kok Tsui.69 Bedford Road
