Yi Pak Kung Temple was rebuilt on the hillside, next to Hong Kong Association of Youth Development Training Centre (香港青少年發展聯會德育發展中心), in Quarry Bay in 1985 by the Quarry Bay neighborhood. Originally, it was located at Tsat Tsz Mui Hill (七姊妹), which had been demolished. Because of the construction of Mass Transit Railway (MTR) in 1980s, former Yi Pak Kung Temple was therefore ruined. Existing Yi Pak Kung Temple is a very small temple, it is only a very simple and primitive wooden hut. There is neither glorious and splendour construction nor exquisitely carved decorations.

Yi Pak Kung is worshipped in the temple. The original name of Yi Pak Kung is Mr. Ngai Wo Chun (魏和珍), a Cantonese, he is the second child in the family. He was therefore called Yi Pak Kung. Mr. Ngai was proficient in medical knowledge. In 1930s, he provided free consultation and medicine to patients. He was particularly effective in curing venereal disease, the patients were mainly prostitutes and whoremasters.  Mr. Ngai was appraised for his professional medical skill.

It is not expected there is originally such a story behind the temple.
