The entrance arch
After the arch, it is called Man Tak Path (萬德徑).
From the back of the entrance arch.
The main entrance
In September 1972, Man Tak Temple was started to
construct in Ng Tung (梧桐) of Tai Mo Shan (大帽山). It is not too far away
from Ng Tung Chai Waterfalls (梧桐寨瀑布), about 2 to 3 km from Lam Kam Road
(林錦公路). Man Tak Temple is not accessible by public transport. It took
about twenty years to complete the whole temple, but the temple is not
large. It is also not possible to build large temple cluster on the
steep slope.
Man Tak Temple is deep in the mountains, it is majestic,
tree-lined and pine-lined. It is like a fairyland in the mountain,
people can retreat away from the turnmoil of the world.
Jit Tak Pavilion (積德亭)
Shui Yuet Kung (水月宮) is also called Kum Yam Temple.
Kum Yam (Guan Yan)
Hang Tin Kung (行天宮)
Dou Lou Temple (斗姥殿)
Ng Fook Temple (五福軒)
Sam Ching Temple (三清殿)
Lu Zu Temple (呂祖殿) is the main temple of Man Tak Temple.
Since the location of Man Tak Temple is definitely not convenient, there are not too many followers on the day of our visit. But the temple should have been renovated recently and there are regular maintenance works, it is kept in very good and new condition. All art work, sculpture and colour matching are of high standard. If you hike to Ng Tung Chai Waterfalls, it is needed to spend at least half an hour to visit Man Tak Temple.
