On both sides of this section of Percival Street, most buildings are those with a history of about fifty years. They are of about ten storeys.
Each residential unit is connected to the next, without any space in between, in order to maximize the total usable area. This is the one of the characteristics in the 60s.
Some units on the lower floors are now shops, restaurants, cafes, offices and salons.
This street is very colourful because of the signages and advertisements of different brands.
Of course, on the ground floor, they are retail shops selling jewellery, watches, mobile phone & service, and many others.
This is Percival House (波斯富大廈) in fact is much older than other buildings in Percival Street. It was built in 1959.
No shops selling merchandise at low price can survive in this street.
Lai Yuen Building (麗園大廈) was also built in 1964.
This is the junction with Foo Ming Street (富明街). This is Po Foo Building (寶富大廈), constructed in 1964.
This is Po Ming Building, constructed in 1964. We can see a watch shop and Sincere Department Store.

There is regular renovation at least on the outer wall. After about fifty years, the building still looks good. The white portion on the left is Po Ming Building (寶明大廈), while the pink portion on the right is Po Wing Building (寶榮大廈).
The surface area of each floor is getting smaller. On the left of this photo, we can see the outline of the building is like a staircase, in order to allow more light to fall onto road surface.
This is a shopping and dining district on Hong Kong Island. Maybe, because the ownership of residential units is too complicated or an agreement cannot be made between sellers and developers, there are many blocks of old building in this section of Percival Street. Anyway, time will tell us.
