The old station, built in 1932 and occupying an area of 7500 square feet, is a construction of four storeys and was declared a Grade III historic buildings in Hong Kong in 1992. The police station was relocated to Arsenal House Lower Block at 1 Arsenal Street Wan Chai in 2010.
Old Wan Chai Police Station is a typical British colonial architecture. It was a streamlined design. Its traditional stove, stairs, windows and doors were architectural features of the 1930s, belonging to neo-classical building.

Married Quarters at the back will be partly preserved and partly
redeveloped for commercial uses. It is planned to be a hotel or a
restaurant.
