Chinese characters in golden colour were engraved on the rock.
Since they
were built during the same period, Sham Shui Po Tin Hau Temple and the
one at Tin Hau Temple Road are very similar in appearance. Although
there are regular renovations (the last renovation was in 1990), the
outlook at the front remains unchanged. This gives an impression that
the temple should have experienced a period of about 100 years.
The main chamber is quite roomy.
Apart from Tin Hau - the goddess of the
sea, other deities are also worshiped in the temple. There are not too
many followers this afternoon.
Roof structure and decorations are similar to those in other Chinese temples in Hong Kong.
