One
day, when I pass by Hennessy Road in Wanchai (灣仔), I notice a baby
block is sandwiched between two large buildings. It is quite funny. This
is the ignition point for me to take a series of baby blocks in Wanchai
in the weeks to come. The first photo below is the baby block drawing my
attention. I am pleased to share with you this peculiar phenomenon in
Wanchai Hong Kong.

No. 470 Hennessy Road, Kam Cheung Building.

No. 8 St. Francis Street
No.12 St. Francis Street, Wanchai.
No. 91 Wanchai Road is Chun On Pawn Shop.
No. 159 Johnston Road
No. 104, 106 & 108 Johnston Road
No. 168 Queen's Road East is like an orphan, with no buildings at both sides. On the ground floor, it is 168 Gallery.
No. 186, 188 & 190 Queen's Road East is now vacant and will be demolished by Hong Kong Government.
It has been rejuvenated in 2014.

221 Queen's Road East. This baby block was built in 1913. It is now
Environmental Resource Centre. The centre is the former Wanchai Post
Office, which has been declared as a protected historical building.
Started from 1st September 2006, Green Power was responsible for the daily operation and management of the centre.
No. 72, 72A, 74 & 74A Stone Nullah Lane. It is also called Blue
House, a pre-war 4-storey balony-type tenement block. It is a Grade 1
historical building.
No. 371 Hennessy Road (at the junction of Hennessy Road and Marsh
Road) is occupied by Tung Tak Pawn Shop. This baby block has at least 80

60A, 62, 64, 66 Johnston Road (opposite to Southorn Playground) is now a
building of bar and restaurants. Originally, it was Wo Cheong Pawn Shop
(和昌大押), completed in 1888-1900s.
