At
6:00 pm on 24 May 2013, Chinachem group declared the closure of the
cinema. It was the end of the story, after serving Hong Kong for 25
years. About 28 staff in the cinema was affected. It was said that
because of competition, the cinema was in loss for several years before the
closure. Since the premises is located in urban area, to lease the
premises for retail would be able to generate profit, which would be used
for charitable purpose.

Ticket price ranged from HK$40 to 60 in 2013.
