No. 371 Hennessy Road (at the junction of Hennessy Road and Marsh
Road) is occupied by Tung Tak Pawn Shop (同德大押). It has at least a history of 80
years.
In the evening, it is quite impressive when the neon light is on.
I do not know why there is a Chinese 'Double-happiness' on top of shop name. Maybe, it has auspicious meaning.
Tung Tak Pawn Shop occupies the whole building of No. 371 Hennessy Road. It is also an old building with arcade.
Notwithstanding the building has long history, it is still kept in very good condition.
This partition is to block the probability of seeing the pawner from outside.
Main Entrance is small, presumably for the sake of controlling the outflow of money.
These silver colour doors are lovely. It is not commonly found in Hong Kong now.
Shop name in Chinese is found on each column.
It is at the junction of Hennessy Road and Marsh Road.
Please pay attention to the old-style window frames.
In my speculation, it should have a brilliant history in the past.
Tung
Tak Pawn Shop is at the junction of Hennessy Road and Marsh Road. By
MTR, the closest exit is Causeway Bay Exit A, Times Square, but not
