The grand opening of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre (香港文化中心) was on 08 November 1989. It has 24 years history in 2013. It
commands a waterfront position in Tsim Sha Tsui, on the west next to the
Star Ferry Pier, and on the east next to the Space Museum.
Occupying
an area of 5.2 hectares, it has a concert hall and grand theatre,
entertaining about 2000 and 1700 audience respectively. It does have
studio theatre, exhibition gallery and rehearsal rooms. Cultural Centre
is a multipurpose performance facility for a wide variety of cultural
performance.

Opposite to Wan Chai of Hong Kong Island
This outdoor area is for performance on
special festival days. It is also a good place to admire the Victoria
Harbour and buildings on Hong Kong Island.
Though the Centre has more than 24 years history, its outlook is still not outdated.
