Pioneer Centre should be the most special and eye-catching construction in Mongkok.
Its peach red colour is so sharp that it is impossible to be missed.
A unique picture is composed, reflecting the buildings in its opposite.
Pioneer Centre is in the form of C shape, with its mouth facing Sai Yeung Choi Street.
It is not too sunny today. If not, the whole street seems to be spotlighted.
Pioneer
Centre was constructed in 1995 by Kowloon Development Limited (HKSE No.
0034). It is a building of 23 storeys in Mongkok, it is bounded by
Nathan Road (彌敦道), Nullah Road (石水渠街), Sai Yeung Choi Street (西洋菜街) and Bute Street (弼街). It is
now an office building, with the lowest eight storeys and the basement
to be shopping area. Though the shopping area may not be managed in the best way, in comparison with those managed by the LINK (http://www.thelink.com.hk). Its outer curtail wall in peach and grey colours must be an icon in Mongkok.
