Sam Shing Estate is a public housing estate in Tuen Mun, New Territories. It got its name "Sam Shing" because there is a Sam Shing Temple (三聖廟) nearby and the area near the present Sam Shing Estate is called Sam Shing Hui (三聖墟). Sam Shing Estate was constructed on a reclaimed land in 1980s by Hong Kong Housing Authority. www.isletforum.com This means it has a history of thirty-four years. But the blocks still look very good in appearance in 2014. There are totally three blocks, accommodating about 5,100 person in 1,800 residential units. Initially, the residents were mainly fishermen and boat people in Tuen Mun area.
