I Shing Temple (二聖宮) is situated at Wang Chau in Yuen Long, New Territories, Hong Kong. The temple was constructed in around 1718 by the villagers. It is dedicated to the worship of two deities, Hung Shing (洪聖, a God of the Sea) and Che Kung (車公, General Che). It underwent renovations in 1970s and 1980s, and was declared a monument in 1996. There was full restoration later with funds from the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

Opening hours: 0700 – 1700 daily
Closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day
Address: Wang Chau Tung Tau Wai, Wang Chau, Yuen Long, New Territories (新界元朗橫洲東頭圍).

It has an antique outlook. We do not know this temple beforehand. We come across this temple accidentally and by luck. We have to visit, admire and take photos.

Though it is old, every part of the temple is still kept in a very exceptionally good condition. Of course, this must be attributed to continuous renovation.

Light reflection makes the photo more alluring.

This giant bell displays a high level of craftsmanship.

I Shing Temple is not conveniently located. It takes about fifteen minutes by walk from MTR Long Ping Station Exit A. If you hike or have something to do in Yuen Long, you may arrange an hour to visit I Shing Temple.
