Each
unit is in the form of a box, with balcony and door on both ends
respectively. This means no window is available for bedrooms, dining
room and living room.
Block 22 is a 12-storey building.
Basically, there is no unnecessary design and decoration in the block.
Tenants can air their clothes outside their units.
For some blocks, at 29 years after construction (in 2013), they still looks firm. At least we can see no supporting metal frames outside the block.
Quite a lot of children are still studying in this estate nursery.
This
pattern is peculiar to public housing estate in Hong Kong. I guess this
can recall the memory of some people, they should have either lived
here before or passed by regularly before.
As other records
of public housing estate posted before, it is mainly to record the old
construction of Hong Kong, for fear that some will be demolished
suddenly one day. It is not easy or it is difficult to keep a tangible
thing forever, but before it may have the risk and chance to disappear, we make a
record for retrospect.
