This Chinese Memorial Arch marks the entrance of Hollywood Road Park.
Hollywood Road Park is in Sheung Wan, built in Chinese architectural style and surrounded by buildings nearby. Hollywood Road Park was the Possession Point where the Royal Navy landed on Hong Kong Island in 1841. Hollywood Road Park is also the site of the former Tai Tat Tei (大笪地, means "large piece of land"), which was nicknamed the "poor man's nightclub" in the 1960s and 1970s. It was a popular bazaar market. It showcased a popular place of old Hong Kong style street entertainment activities. Citizens gathered to browse at night market, eat cheap local food and watch free entertainment.
It is now a Chinese style park, for people to rest and walk around.
There are fish pond and Chinese pavillions.
Next to the arched door, fishes are swimming freely in the pond.
The Chinese constructions with green tiles are commonly found.
