Ping Lan Street (平瀾街) is a short street in Apleichau, next to Apleichau Park (鴨脷洲公園).
The whole street can be seen in this photo. There are about ten buildings on this street. Buildings are mainly of six to eight storeys, constructed in 1961 to 1987. This means the oldest one is 54 years old in 2015.
Some are still kept in good condition.
It is mainly a residential street.
This should be the oldest and shortest one, with illegal construction on the top.
It is renovating. A minibus terminus is on the street.
This is Apleichau Kai Fongs Public Hall (鴨脷洲街坊大會堂 http://isletforum.com/home.php?mod=space&uid=58&do=blog&id=1078), a three-storey construction. It is now mainly an office. In the past, it should also be a gathering place for the island dwellers. On this section of Ping Lan Street, it is a minibus terminus, with several routes to Apleichau, Aberdeen and Causeway Bay.
