正式名稱為海洋難抵極（Oceanic Pole of Inaccessibility），是地球表面距離陸地最偏遠的地點，位於南太平洋中央之處的海面上，最近的陸塊與當地相隔2,688公里之遙。
本點孤離於陸域、船舶航線及洋流之外，其所處海域的人類活動及其他生物蹤跡稀少。
這裡是全世界距離陸地最遠的地方，是海洋中最孤立的所在，也是各國自1971年來，棄置太空飛行器的地方，形成「太空飛行器墓地」，至2018年已有263個太空廢棄物墜落於此。
為什麼叫尼莫點呢？ 是因為“尼莫”在拉丁一詞中意味著“無人”，這非常好的概括了尼莫點的特徵。
Officially known as the Oceanic Pole of Inaccessibility, it is the most remote point on the earth's surface from land. It is located on the sea surface in the centre of the South Pacific. The nearest land is 2,688 kilometers away.
This point is isolated from land, ship routes and ocean currents, and there are few traces of human activities and other organisms in the sea area where it is located.
This is the farthest place in the world from land and the most isolated place in the ocean. It is also the place where countries have abandoned space vehicles since 1971, forming a "space vehicle graveyard". As of 2018, 263 pieces of space debris have fallen here.

Why is it called Nemo Point? Because "Nemo" means "no one" in Latin, this sums up the characteristics of Nemo Point very well.
