Friend P went to a relatively private gathering with about 30 people. If someone had something to share, he walked out of the stage, picked up the mic and started speaking.
P thinks there is something wrong, because the volume of the mic seems to be 0.
Forget it, P himself is a participant only, don't make trouble.
When the second person expressed his opinion, the mic was the same, and of course the effect was the same. The volume of the mic was (seemed to be) 0.
No one in the audience spoke out about the problem.
P feels that this is not ok. Maybe other people or some people have discovered this problem, but no one has spoken out.
In fact, there is an IT person responsible for the sound issues, but he seems not to have noticed or made any improvements. Didn't he notice it at all? Or does he think the mic is OK? Does the mic have sound?
P felt that this could not continue, so P asked the person in charge who was walking by, is there something wrong with the volume of the mic or is it ok?
So, the person in charge followed up, told the IT person, and then changed the mic to another one.
Seeing this situation, no one has ever mentioned that there is no sound from the mic in an environment that requires the use of a mic. P feels that "everyone is really epileptic."
