The Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department announced today (August 5, 2022) that a sample of edible ice cubes prepared by a restaurant in Shek Tong Tsui was collected. After testing, it was found that the level of coliform bacteria exceeded the standard, reaching 150 per 100 ml. The colony forming unit exceeds the standard of "Guidelines for Microbiological Content of Food".

How to prevent it?
1) Only visit large chain stores to order frozen drinks, they have perfect food hygiene guidelines.
2) Non-large restaurants, only order hot drinks.
