Is it good for the old (middle-aged) to do some exercise?
Swimming isn't necessarily the best way, because breaststroke hurts your knees, and fast swimming (freestyle) isn't too durable.
It is recommended to do some isometric contraction exercises (such as half squatting against the wall, or, sitting on a shadowless bench), to practise the high muscles, and then slowly increase the strength of the muscles with rapid walking.
It's hard to walk in the mountains and hurt without knowing it. Everyone should take care of your body, and you can walk with high flexibility and longevity.
