How to study more effectively to get a better result?

Many parents or students want their children or themselves to have good grades in their studies. This is one of the more guaranteed conditions for future prosperity.
The parents always push the children to study, whether they themselves are scholars or not, they coerce and induce their children to read more. This can prove to others that their genetic factors are good, teach them well, or their children are superior to them.

However, many students did not get good grades in their schooling, or did not get the grades they deserved for their wisdom, mostly because
1) The student does not want to read at all;
2) Other activities are more interesting and fun, and reading becomes a sideline;
3) They are not the type to study well (hereditary or providence);
4) Don't want to pay, devote and sacrifice.

What I want to discuss most is 4) Don't want to pay, devote and sacrifice.
Many students are not stupid, but no one (including their parents) guides them, pointing out that everything must be devoted first.
If some students like to play football, they know they have to buy appropriate equipment, such as sneakers, socks, shorts, knee pads, shirts, water bottles, etc.
They attend each training course and will arrive at the stadium on time, and will find out in advance how to get to the stadium in the quickest way.

However, when it comes to studying, they just ignore it and treat it as someone's business, or if they don't study well, they can irritate or hurt some people.
The stationery set is not complete or they forget to buy the stationery. They don't know where the books are, and they forget to take them home; the fonts are handwritten in random. In short, they just want to complete writing as quickly as possible. When tutoring is required, they will do everything possible to find excuses for not tutoring, and they do not understand the spirit of contract (no matter whether it is written or verbal), thinking that notifying tutors in advance is the best behavior already.

In fact, many students know, have heard many times about the importance of reading. But they know that in daily life they have to draw a clear line between reading and others. They do not take it seriously in things, such as doing homework, reviewing the books, and doing supplementary exercises. What they do is to wait for the bad result to appear.

In fact, when we do anything, if we don't pay and keep it in mind, it's impossible to do it well. They can only cheat themselves but not orthers, but it's actually just a childish self-deception and naive behaviour. However, nowadays, many people who are adults still live in this form of behavior every day.
