蝴蝶邨 很美麗的名稱 Butterfly Estate

蝴蝶邨是香港的一個公共屋邨，位於新界屯門近蝴蝶灣，其所屬位置於發展屯門新市鎮時進行填海（http://isletforum.com/forum.php? ... =%E5%A1%AB%E6%B5%B7）工程所得出的土地。於1983年開始入伙，由香港房屋委員會管理，亦是唯一一個梯級型的公屋樓宇。由於屋邨所有單位的設計大致上是一樣的，所以邨內居民大部分是1-4人的家庭為主。


另邨內有一由領展管理的商場，名為蝴蝶廣場（http://isletforum.com/forum.php? ... =%E8%9D%B4%E8%9D%B6），亦設有一街市（http://isletforum.com/forum.php? ... =%E8%9D%B4%E8%9D%B6），根據2015年3月中公布，該街市正式名為蝴蝶鮮活街市，2016年4月28日完成翻新，同年4月29日早上10時正式重開。熟食檔（冬菇亭）（http://isletforum.com/forum.php? ... =%E8%9D%B4%E8%9D%B6）亦在2016年3月24日正式翻新，於2017年1月完成重開。


值得一提的是，蝴蝶邨的官方英文名稱爲意譯的「Butterfly Estate」，而非根據粵語音譯的「Wu Dip Estate」，這種情況在香港公營房屋中極爲罕見，真正原因未明，有可能是爲了尊重屋邨所在地蝴蝶灣之英文名稱使用「Butterfly」一詞的傳統，但坊間一些人由於不清楚有關情況，在用英文表述「蝴蝶邨」時會使用「Wu Dip Estate」或「Wu Tip Estate」之譯法。

由於蝴蝶灣附近的龍鼓灘（http://isletforum.com/forum.php? ... D%E9%BC%93%E7%81%98），以前有很多蝴蝶，所以附近的地名便有蝴蝶灣泳灘，蝴蝶灣公園，和蝴蝶邨。
蝴蝶邨最特別的就是它梯級型的公屋樓宇。
蝴蝶邨的商場和街市都翻新了，但價格亦相應提高了，使邨民百上加斤。

As the Estate is located near the Tuen Mun Ferry, you can take a walk to enjoy a beautiful scene of the sea,  either in the morning or at night. if you get a time, taking a public ferry to Lantau Island to have a seafood. On the other hand,  having  a dip or barbecue at Butterfly beach which just only 5 minutes on foot from Ferry , if it is a nice day, you can also hike from Tuen Mun Central to Yuen Long or even Tsuen Wan,frankly speaking, The Butterfly Estate is a very good place for retirement life.

Thanks for your added information of Tuen Mun.
I am interested in hiking from Tuen Mun to Yuen Long.
