Xuanyuan Sacred Gui
This Xuanyuan Sacred Gui was presented as a gift to the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region by the Governor of Shaanxi Province in 2008.
Gui was a food vessel and ritual implement in ancient times. This Xuanyuan Sacred Gui, a gift ranked at national treasure level, is produced to manifest Chinese heritage and culture. The body of the vessel is carved with the portrait of the Yellow Emperor Xuanyuan and four Chinese characters which read "Xuan Yuan Xing Gui" (denoting the sacred food vessel of Xuanyuan). www.isletforum.com It also shows vivid and animated engraved scenes of speeding chariots and galloping horses, battling and hunting, mulberry leaves picking and bird shooting skills.
